Our First Snow Day of 2007!

"Good morning. We have a snow day. Please call the next person on the list." These are the words you love to hear on a cold, snowy December morning. Words that I thought would never come this morning. Here is how the morning went...

I woke up this morning, got ready and was just ready to get my shoes on and head out the door when Nate spotted his school delayed, then Jaime's school. What did I do? I got upset because I knew that I had to drive through their districts to get to my school. Well it was already 6:45 a.m. and I didn't see my school. I figured since buses were already on their way to school I would have to venture out soon!

I sat and watched closing after closing. Nothing yet. I switched to another station. I was getting so frustrated, but just minutes later my school came up and we were CLOSED! I immediately got a feeling of relief and excitement, just like I did when I was a student in school. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do. It is just nice getting a day to get stuff done around the house, especially in the busy month of December.

So Nate and I have our first snow day of the year together. He doesn't know this yet, but I am going to put him to work today. He will probably wish he was at school instead of home with me!

Hee-Hee! I love blogging and I'm glad I stumbled upon yours. Since we rarely get a chance to see each other, check out my blog to keep up with Tim and I and I'll be regularly checking in with yours. Merry Christmas!

Yea!! Since I'm not in school anymore I find myself watching the closings to see if Coopersville is closed and you get to stay home. Then I get so excited for you. I'm glad you got a day to stay home and relax.
