Yard Work

It was a nice fall day and mommy and daddy had tons of leaves to rake.  I napped through some of their work time, but when I woke up it was time to go outside.  I wasn’t much help to mommy and daddy, but I sure had a fun time sitting in mommy’s beach chair with my favorite book.  I know in a couple of years I will be raking instead of relaxing!  I better enjoy it while I can!

Daddy wanted me to play in the leaves, but I wasn’t too sure about it.  I was happy just to sit on his lap.

 

I also enjoyed reading in my stroller.  I just can’t get enough of my books!

 

 

I even wanted my books when I got in the house.  Can you tell my parents are teachers?

 

I love spending Saturdays with my mommy and daddy!  Will I be building a snowman the next time I go outside?

My First Birthday!

On Saturday, October 1, I turned 1 year old!  This first year of my life has been so much fun!  I’ve learned to sit up, crawl, traveled a lot, and now I walk all over the place!  I’m such a busy boy!

To celebrate my first birthday, I had a John Deere Party at my Grandpa and Grandma Rosema’s House.  We had yummy food, cupcakes, and cake.  I got to open lots of presents and then my Grandpa Rosema took us on a hayride.  It was such a fun night!

A Camping We Will Go…

So mommy and daddy took me camping for the first time and…I HAD A BLAST!!!  We went to Hoffmaster State Park with some of my friends.  The Brady’s let us borrow their huge tent!  Here are some pictures of our time camping.

9 Months Old

I’m 9 months old already and having a great time!  I’m into EVERYTHING!  Here are some of the things I enjoy doing now.

• Sleeping 10 hours!  Mommy and daddy like it too!
• Listening to stories by anyone who will read to me.  I tend to turn the pages before they are done reading.  Oops!
• Moving all around the floor, grabbing at anything that is in my way.
• Playing with the remote controls.  Sometimes I even change the channel. 
• Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Every time it starts I start smiling really big!
• Pulling up on the couch and walking along it.  And then falling down.  I get back up and do it again, and again, and again!
• Grunting, especially when I don’t want something.  I’m getting really good at it. 
• Saying, “Uh oh!” 
• Making a cheesy face when mommy or daddy takes my picture.
• Swimming in pools. 
• Walking on the boardwalk with mommy and friends. 
• Eating big people food, like fruits and veggies, and some little pieces of cheese.  Yummy!
• Playing on my laptop while daddy plays on his!  I love technology!

Sweet Summertime!

So it’s finally summer!  I LOVE being home all day with my mommy!  I do miss my friends at school, but this is so much fun!  Every day is a new adventure.  So far we’ve walked the boardwalk, gone for a couple of walks on the boardwalk, read lots of books, gone shopping, played with my cars and tractors, and the best part….I WENT SWIMMING FOR THE FIRST TIME!  What a blast!  We went over to my Uncle Chad’s pool and it was awesome!  It looked like a big bathtub!  It was a little cold at first, but it was so hot out that I didn’t care!  I can’t wait to go again!

Here I am with my Uncle Chad.  My Aunt Julia got me a cool new swimsuit that I can keep at their house.  I look so muscular!

 

I really thought the raft was fun!  I can’t wait to be able to sit on it all by myself.

 

 

Here I am in my other swimsuit.  It started raining so we had to go inside.  I’m so glad it cleared up so I could swim again and try out my other suit.

 

 

This is my new floaty mommy got me for the pool.  This is what people call “chilling out” and it’s amazing!  I could get used to this!

I’m 7 Months Old!

That’s right!  I’m 7 months old!  I can’t believe it!  I have to say, it is sure fun getting older.  I can do a lot of fun things now!  Here is what I love doing!

• Sleeping 10-12 hours.
• Eating pears, mixed fruits, apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes.  Oh, can’t forget the oatmeal and puffs! 
• Sitting up and bending all the way over until I’m laying on the floor!
• Rolling, rolling, and rolling some more!
• Listening to mommy read books to me.  I love chewing on the books too.
• Oh, did I mention I chew on everything!
• Playing in the water.
• Going on walks with mommy!
• Dancing to music.
• Playing  peek-a-boo. 
• Playing with my friends at school! 
• Sitting outside on a blanket.

Here I am sitting out on my blanket.  I loved touching the grass and watching the trees blow in the wind.  I also liked watching the cars zip down the road!  I can’t wait until I can crawl around! 

 

 

My new favorite game is peek-a-boo.  I discovered how to play when mommy was waiting in the check-out lane at Meijer.

I’m really enjoying month 7!  I can’t wait to see what I’ll be doing next month!  Stay tuned!!

My First Haircut!

I was born with lots of hair!  It has been growing like crazy, so mommy and daddy decided that it was time I got my hair cut.  Mommy and Grandma took me today to see Cheryl.  She’s a nice lady that cuts my mom’s hair.  She put a huge bib on me.  I guess it was so I wouldn’t get lots of hair all over me.  I sat perfectly still and was such a good boy the entire time.  Mommy and daddy say I look so much older now.  What do you think?
