Look What I Got!

So I had a fun Christmas!  I opened a lot of books, a few toys, and some clothes.  Just when I thought I was done my Grammy and Papa Rosema took out this…

A new tractor for me!  I’m one lucky boy!  It has some pedals that I can’t quite reach yet, but when I can…watch out!  I’ll be cutting grass and cruising in no time! 

 

Here’s a picture of me with my old, little tractor.  I’m such a big boy now and big boys need big tractors.  I think I may follow in my Papa’s footsteps…lots of new upgrades year after year!

Oh Christmas Tree!

So there is this big, green, bright and shiny thing in our living room now.  My mommy said it’s called a Christmas Tree.  My Aunt Jaime came over to help put the lights on it and decorate it too.  Mommy and daddy were so sure that I would always be over by it, practically running into it, but I really don’t even go by it that much.  Occasionally I like to point at it and make my funny sound.  I heard there will be some presents under it in a couple of weeks.  There should be quite a few because I’m one nice kid!

Aunt J gave me my Will ornament to put on the tree. 

 

 

This is one of my favorite ornaments!  It’s a snowman that turns colors!  Thank you to one of mommy’s former students for giving it to me!

 

 

 

I got pretty upset when mommy told me I had to hang it on the tree.  Not fair!

 

It did look pretty hanging on the tree.  Mommy put it up high enough that I couldn’t reach it!

 

I’m so excited for Christmas!  And especially to see what will be under the tree for me!

Yard Work

It was a nice fall day and mommy and daddy had tons of leaves to rake.  I napped through some of their work time, but when I woke up it was time to go outside.  I wasn’t much help to mommy and daddy, but I sure had a fun time sitting in mommy’s beach chair with my favorite book.  I know in a couple of years I will be raking instead of relaxing!  I better enjoy it while I can!

Daddy wanted me to play in the leaves, but I wasn’t too sure about it.  I was happy just to sit on his lap.

 

I also enjoyed reading in my stroller.  I just can’t get enough of my books!

 

 

I even wanted my books when I got in the house.  Can you tell my parents are teachers?

 

I love spending Saturdays with my mommy and daddy!  Will I be building a snowman the next time I go outside?

My First Birthday!

On Saturday, October 1, I turned 1 year old!  This first year of my life has been so much fun!  I’ve learned to sit up, crawl, traveled a lot, and now I walk all over the place!  I’m such a busy boy!

To celebrate my first birthday, I had a John Deere Party at my Grandpa and Grandma Rosema’s House.  We had yummy food, cupcakes, and cake.  I got to open lots of presents and then my Grandpa Rosema took us on a hayride.  It was such a fun night!

A Camping We Will Go…

So mommy and daddy took me camping for the first time and…I HAD A BLAST!!!  We went to Hoffmaster State Park with some of my friends.  The Brady’s let us borrow their huge tent!  Here are some pictures of our time camping.

9 Months Old

I’m 9 months old already and having a great time!  I’m into EVERYTHING!  Here are some of the things I enjoy doing now.

• Sleeping 10 hours!  Mommy and daddy like it too!
• Listening to stories by anyone who will read to me.  I tend to turn the pages before they are done reading.  Oops!
• Moving all around the floor, grabbing at anything that is in my way.
• Playing with the remote controls.  Sometimes I even change the channel. 
• Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Every time it starts I start smiling really big!
• Pulling up on the couch and walking along it.  And then falling down.  I get back up and do it again, and again, and again!
• Grunting, especially when I don’t want something.  I’m getting really good at it. 
• Saying, “Uh oh!” 
• Making a cheesy face when mommy or daddy takes my picture.
• Swimming in pools. 
• Walking on the boardwalk with mommy and friends. 
• Eating big people food, like fruits and veggies, and some little pieces of cheese.  Yummy!
• Playing on my laptop while daddy plays on his!  I love technology!

Sweet Summertime!

So it’s finally summer!  I LOVE being home all day with my mommy!  I do miss my friends at school, but this is so much fun!  Every day is a new adventure.  So far we’ve walked the boardwalk, gone for a couple of walks on the boardwalk, read lots of books, gone shopping, played with my cars and tractors, and the best part….I WENT SWIMMING FOR THE FIRST TIME!  What a blast!  We went over to my Uncle Chad’s pool and it was awesome!  It looked like a big bathtub!  It was a little cold at first, but it was so hot out that I didn’t care!  I can’t wait to go again!

Here I am with my Uncle Chad.  My Aunt Julia got me a cool new swimsuit that I can keep at their house.  I look so muscular!

 

I really thought the raft was fun!  I can’t wait to be able to sit on it all by myself.

 

 

Here I am in my other swimsuit.  It started raining so we had to go inside.  I’m so glad it cleared up so I could swim again and try out my other suit.

 

 

This is my new floaty mommy got me for the pool.  This is what people call “chilling out” and it’s amazing!  I could get used to this!
